Read this first
- Nominees may be of any profession, but they must have made a significant contribution to exposing young people to the stories of Sherlock Holmes.
- An award can go to an individual or an organization.
- Anyone can make a nomination, but the Awards Task Group has the right to reject a nomination that is frivolous, incomplete, or otherwise inappropriate.
- No one can nominate himself/herself.
- Nominations are accepted only between 1 October and 1 November of the nominating year
- All nominations become the property of The Beacon Society and may be published on the Beacon website
- Email the completed nomination to Elaine M. Coppola, Chair of the Awards Task Group of the Beacon Society

- For an individual nomination, tell what you know about the nominee’s profession and/or work with young people.
- For a group/club/scion nomination, tell something about the group’s activities and/or work with their community.
- Summarize the specific reasons why you feel that this person deserves an award for introducing young people to Sherlock Holmes.
- Describe the activities that this person has organized, planned, implemented, or otherwise has undertaken to introduce young people to Sherlock Holmes.
- Estimate the number of young people reached by his/her activities.
